Edward was the President of Emerson Electric Co., a global industrial controls products company, from 2010 until his retirement in 2018. At the time of his retirement, Edward had more than 30 years of experience in senior operational positions at Emerson and played key roles in globalizing the company, having held increasingly senior positions, including Chief Operating Officer from 2001 to 2015 and President of its Rosemount Inc. subsidiary from 1996 to 2001 as well as holding various operations, new product development, engineering and technology positions. Currently he serves as Lead Director for Air Products and Chemical. Edward also currently serves as a director of Vertiv Holdings Co., a company that provides equipment and services for data centers. He previously served as a director of Canadian Pacific Railway Ltd.

Formerly, Edward was Vice Chairman of the U.S.-India Strategic Partnership Forum, a member of the Economic Development Board for China’s Guangdong Province and a director and Vice Chairman of the U.S.-China Business Council. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology and a Bachelor’s degree in Education from Eastern Michigan University.

Edward is a seasoned executive with over 30 years of leadership experience in global industrial operations. He served as President of Emerson Electric Co., a global leader in industrial control products, from 2010 until his retirement in 2018. Throughout his career at Emerson, Edward played a pivotal role in the company’s globalization and operational expansion.

He held several senior leadership roles, including: Chief Operating Officer (2001–2015), President of Rosemount Inc., an Emerson subsidiary (1996–2001), carious leadership roles in operations, product development, engineering, and technology.

Edward currently serves as Lead Director for Air Products and Chemicals, and as a Director of Vertiv Holdings Co., a provider of equipment and services for data centers. He previously served on the board of Canadian Pacific Railway Ltd.

His international leadership experience includes serving as: Vice Chairman, U.S.-India Strategic Partnership Forum Member, Economic Development Board for China’s Guangdong Province Director and Vice Chairman, U.S.-China Business Council.

Edward holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology and a Bachelor’s degree in Education from Eastern Michigan University.
